Helping Communities through Sustainable Fashion

The largest part of any Company is what does it stand for? Where does it see itself in the future. When I wanted to create the Salty Black Dog, I wanted to do it with the idea that it would never be just me. I am the now, but there is a always a future to consider. I want to urge others to follow their passions, and find a place to do it. A place that is safe, fair, sustainable for anyone who wants to join, no matter if they are just doing it part time as a High School student who wants to earn a little extra money. A college student that needs to stretch their wings and try a few new things, or a mom who needs an outlet to remember that she's more than just being someone's mom, to a grandparent who wants to find themselves after being so much to so many and now is finally able to find some down time.

Being an encouraging figure for someone's life is one of the most important things anyone can do. At the Salty Black Dog our artisans may come and go, making one piece a day to only one or two pieces a year with no judgements, no pressure and apologies. Then, we want to help give back to our community, because that's what we really all are in life. One large community, no matter what our family looks like.
